Everything begins with the fiber. It determines the function, quality, feel, and durability of a garment, long before it is cut or sewn.
We don't just choose materials. We develop them together with specialized partners, from the cultivation of the fiber to the final processing of the fabric. Not all fibers are the same, and the difference is palpable in every piece.
For us, responsibility means shaping this path from the very beginning. What a material becomes at the end of its life is already decided during the design phase.

Wood fibers
Wood fibers are created from cellulose, sourced from sustainably managed forests and processed into yarn using a closed-loop system. The fabrics have a silky feel, absorb moisture, and regulate body temperature like almost no other natural material.
We work exclusively with Tencel™ Lyocell and Tencel™ Modal, produced in Austria in a closed-loop cycle.

Organic Pima Cotton
Pima cotton is among the rarest and longest cotton fibers in the world, grown primarily in Peru according to centuries-old tradition. Its exceptional staple length makes the fabric smoother, stronger, and significantly more durable than conventional cotton.
We work exclusively with organic Pima cotton, a combination that is hard to find on the global market. Two standards that are rarely united, and that is precisely why they are our benchmark.

Regenerative cotton
Regenerative cotton is grown according to principles that actively improve the soil instead of just exploiting it: crop rotation, the avoidance of pesticides, and targeted humus build-up. The result is a fiber produced while the land becomes healthier.
Our cotton products, with the exception of Pima cotton, come from regenerative agriculture. Starting in 2027, we will gradually begin using our own cotton in our fabrics. From seed to finished product. More on this in the coming year.

Swiss Alp Wool
Wool is one of the oldest and most versatile natural fibers. Renewable, biodegradable, with a natural ability to regulate temperature and moisture.
A central raw material in the Alpine region for centuries, it has almost disappeared from the textile industry over the last few decades. For us, it forms the basis of our own fabrics: sourced in Switzerland, processed with partners in Switzerland and Northern Italy.

Regenerative Merino wool
The finer the fiber, the softer and lighter the fabric. Only merino wool with 19.5 microns or finer meets our requirements.
We work exclusively with fibers from regenerative agriculture, certified according to NATIVA™ or ZQ+, fully traceable and mulesing-free. Two standards, one commitment: wool that gets better the closer you look.

Regenerated wool
Regenerated wool is created from production scraps or discarded garments, rather than from newly shorn fiber.
Through a specialized process used by our Italian partner, this is transformed into fulled and tightly woven fabrics, which we use in our Swiss Made jackets and coats. Material that is given a second life without losing its character.

A matter of conviction
We engage intensively with raw materials, yarns, and fabrics. With their origin. With their processing. With their behavior over time.
Wool from Switzerland.
Wood-based fibers.
Regeneratively grown cotton.
Recycled natural fibers.
We test, compare, discard, and refine. Until substance, function, and origin align.

Quality begins with the selection.
We work with fibers that are among the highest quality of their kind. Not only in their structure and feel, but also in their origin and processing.
Some of the raw materials we use have become rare because they are difficult to extract, are available in limited quantities, or meet significantly higher standards.
Renewable or recycled materials. Biodegradable fibers. Traceable supply chains. For us, sustainability is not an add-on, but an integral part of our definition of quality.
A material is only truly convincing when it is functional, durable, and responsibly produced.
"We invest an enormous amount of time in materials – often more than is later visible in the product. But not every good material is right for us."
